What Does the Fed’s Decision Mean for the Markets?


The Fed stated on Wednesday that they’re raising rates 50 basis points, or half a percent. Chairman Powell also stated that a 75-basis-point hike in the future wasn’t on the table and provided some optimistic commentary on inflation. This reveals a potential positive out there for stocks over the medium- and longer-term because if the Fed talks tough on inflation, yet they don’t raise rates as much as feared, then we have a natural backing off of inflation.
